Race 1 was a tough one for Ryan. Off the start he was held up by Tiff Needell who lost contact with the leading 6 cars. Once Ryan passed Tiff, he set about catching the lead train. A superb set of laps all within 2 tenths of the lap recordsoon put him on the back of the lead group. Ryan crossed the line in 4th place only have it take away by an over zealous and inexperienced Clerks descison docking him and the race winner 30 seconds and dropping Ryan to 9th place. This will have a significant effect on our Championship challenge. Rory fought his way through to 8th place.
Race 2 was epic for Ryan. Starting in P4 he was 3rd into Druids and held that position under great pressure for most of the race. He drove seperbly to stay with the leaders and also stalled a charging championship leading Shaun Huyton comming from the back. Eventually Ryans classy drive paid off as the leaders made a mistake and Ryan was able to take a justified 2nd on the last lap. Rory came home in 8th place again after strating from the back. This is in no way a reflection of the potential we believe Rory has. Lets hope for some better luck for Rory at the next race on the Indy circuit.
Ryan is the youngest competitor in the field and has only been racing for 2 years with no karting experience, unlike all his fellow competitors. Once more demonstrating the driver development style and set up at Piranha Motorsport works.
