We are delighted to confirm Leeds based J.J O'Malley will be joining championship front runner Ryan Ratcliffe at Piranha Motorsport for the 2012 Ginetta G40 Challenge. The third and final slot in the team will be announced soon. Bringing sponsorship from succesful Harrogate based groundworks and civil engineering company JOM Construction, J.J is set for a full season in the championship with Piranha.

J.J is a multiple Caterham race winner, narrowly missing out on the 2010 Caterham Roadsport title to Jamie Orton despite winning more races.  J.J raced in the faster Caterham R300 Superlight Championship in 2011 alongside a couple of toe in the water races in Challenge.

We believe J.J will be a great addition to the team. Our team manager/coach Simon Mason has worked with J.J since he began racing with the Caterham Academy in 2007 and has been part of many of his up's and down's.  "I believe Ryan and J.J will compliment each other very well, I've coached both drivers since their start in motor racing. They are complete opposites in approach but equaly as fast. This can only be good for them both." commented Simon.    

J.J's car will be on display at the Autosport show before we can take delivery and start fine tuning J.J into the front runner with Ryan we know he can be.
