Race day was torrential rain. Rory actually led into turn one from P6 but was driven off the circuit by a locked up Richard Sykes. In contrast Ryan made shocking start through no fault of his own, the screen misted up totaly as soon as they started moving off the line. Ryan did a superb job to stay on track despite not seing anything and came home in 5th place just infront of Championship leader Sean Huyton. Rory unfortunately locked up and went into the wall at Turn 2 after a previous spin at the same corner a few laps earlier.
Race 2 was not much better, Ryans windscreen issue required a replacment but there was not enough time so alternative old school methods had to be employed. He drove brilliantly in race 2 to take 4th. Rory came home in 8th place after another off track excursion.
Sadly Rockingham was Rory's last race with us in Ginetta Challenge for this season. We hope he can raise some budget for 2012 and rejoin us because without question he has allot of potential to shine at this level and has become very much part of the team.
